So rapid was the 3rd XI victory that the club photographer didn’t make it in time to see them bowl out Chilwell for 63…the required target was knocked off in 13 overs for the loss of just one wicket, the unlucky Jake Fisher who perished on 49 trying to finish the game with a 6 .
The 1st XI did well to contain league leaders Wollaton to 163 for 8 with Darren Bicknell taking 5-44 and the very economical Dan Gibson 1-23 off 10 . They held on well when batting for a losing draw at 129-9, the last pair of Jamie Gilbertson and Dan Gibson safely negotiating the final 5 overs after Olly Elson had made a spirited 39 from 43 balls on a far from easy pitch.
The 2nd XI also won but at the time of writing this , I have no details…
